My SHARP TV did not come with a bracket to mount the TV onto a wall. Never needed one until a recent house renovation. Designer thought that mounting the TV would be better and eventually we agreed.
Checked out the SHARP website and found no such bracket. researched and found that such brackets are quite universal - a VESA standard. Measured the position of screw points at the back of TV and found there were four screws required in the corners of a square of side 200mm.
Checked forums and found a shop in Sim Lim Square that sold a bracket that could match the VESA standard the TV required. Was told at the shop that the screws required to mount the TV to the bracket was included. Was also told that I would have to find the screws to connect to the wall myself which was not a problem cause the carpenters would be doing that.
Went back and found that the screws to mount the bracket to the TV were wrongly sized. Called SHARP spare parts and they said they had no such screws.
Called a SHARP supplier and found that I had to buy another bracket that came with the right screws. Bought that second bracket, the screws fitted, the TV was mounted.
I was left with the stand for the TV which I did not need now (as the TV was on the wall). Flipped it over and there it was - fours screws that were of the right thread and length that I could have used for mounting after removing it from the stand. Those screws were used to hold the two pieces of the stand together.

If only SHARP tech support had known that.
